We are the Wilson's.

Michele, Allen, Dylan, Dalton, Conner, and Tyler. Tyler, the youngest, was seven when he was diagnosed in June, 2010 with Stage IV Burkitt's Lymphoma. He was mis-diagnosed with Lyme Disease and that lead to the progression of the cancer and the late stage at diagnosis. Tyler spent most of the summer of 2010 in the hospital where he received dialysis, multiple blood-transfusions, and life-saving chemotherapy. He over-came bed sores, pneumonia, and an extra-heartbeat, along with horrible mouth sores (a side-effect of chemo). With the help of physical therapy he learned to walk again. In October, 2010 a CAT scan revealed that Tyler was CANCER FREE! Our prayers had been answered!!!!

We live in Lawn, PA. I work for the local school district as a para-educator in the Middle School Life Skills room which allows me to be off in the summer with my boys. Allen is a Millwright and works at Weaber's Saw Mill. He is also a first responder for the Lawn Fire Co. Dylan, pretty much works all the time. He is a landscaper by day and a cook at night. When he's not working he is a volunteer fire fighter for Lawn. Dalton, is a very talented musician and guitar player. Conner, is the athlete of the family and plays ice hockey and baseball.

As of February 2022 Tyler has been cancer free for 11 years! He continues to see the doctors at Penn State Children's Hospital at the Survivorship Clinic once a year for a check up. Tyler will be graduating high school this year. He has been volunteering for the Lawn Fire Company since he was 16 and will continue after graduation. He wants to continue to take Fire Fighter Classes, as well as begin working full time. Tyler enjoys playing street hockey with his friends, fishing, and gaming.

We love to spend time as a family and do whatever the day holds. We are very thankful to God for answered prayers, for Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital, The Four Diamonds Fund, and of course, our OHANA/THON family. All are a blessing to us.
